KEEPING OUR NATION SECURE: The Status of Federal Agencies Security Postures

A recent study, conducted by Market Connections in conjunction with Unisys, found that among federal IT decision makers, agencies continue to be focused on IT security challenges and believe security threats will increase in 2018.

This whitepaper will look at best practices agencies can apply to address the top security challenges across the industry and will lay out the top reasons for increased vulnerability, such as:

  • 38% of respondents feel the broader federal government is more vulnerable in 2018.
  • Among the top three IT security concerns, 56% of respondents believe external threats are a major concern while 54% believe the usage of mobile devices are the issue.
  • 64% of respondents said they viewed identity management tools as a “very important” way to address threats.
